Come to the Water

Lee & Barb Webster, BS, MSW, LCSW

Founder and director of The Center for Human Development in central Wisconsin, Lee (also a Board Certified Director) went into private practice with a vision of providing counseling and educational services to the community using a holistic and Christian frame of reference. The Center for Human Development has grown and expanded to staff locations in Wausau and Tomahawk and the Tomahawk and Merrill Schools. It has become recognized as a quality provider of individual, marital, and family counseling services throughout Central Wisconsin.

Lee and Barb have a passion for good marriages and strong families. Partners in life since they met in college, Lee and Barb have shared both adventures and trials together. They have three married children and 14 grandchildren. Living on the farm where the kids were raised, they love having the grandkids around to keep them young. In her leisure time, Barb enjoys gardening, her horse, and chickens. Lee enjoys reading with Barb, time at their cabin, playing golf, carpentry, traveling, walking in the woods and sometimes just sitting by the river. Their faith guides them on life’s journey and is the compass they use to set their course. They have been strong encouragers of the Retrouvaille program.

Sometimes, in spite of our best efforts and a shed full of Retrouvaille tools, we may still notice some dead branches on our tree of life. After a long winter, we may need some pruning and tending of our roots. Perhaps a storm has done some major damage and our marriage or Retrouvaille community could use shoring up. Sharing from their many years of counseling, leadership and relationship experience, Lee & Barb will help us see where we might prune our branches and enrich the soil of our marriages and outreach.
