Continuing Our Retrouvaille Experience (C.O.R.E.)

CORE is an ongoing support group for those serious about making their marriage work. Retrouvaille of Northern Illinois is the parent organization of the Retrouvaille CORE Communities of Rockford, Chicago, Joliet, Peoria and Northwest Indiana.

Because of our problems, many of us isolate ourselves from other married couples. The CORE Communities of Northern Illinios consist of hurting/healing couples who want the support of others to continue their growth and their dialogue experience.

Participation in CORE:

motivates us to maintain dialogue as a primary communication tool
keeps us involved with other couples who share a common interest in the sacrament of marriage
supports our efforts to grow in our marriage
offers opportunities to minister to "Friday Night Couples" who have not yet experienced the healing benefits of Retrouvaille

The word Retrouvaille™ (pronounced re-tro-vi with a long i) is a French word meaning rediscovery. The program offers tools needed to rediscover a loving marriage relationship. Thousands of couples headed for cold, unloving relationships or divorce have successfully overcome their marriage problems by attending the program.
